Life-Altering Friendships

I am who I am in so many ways because of friends:

Lori H - is in my thoughts every Sunday, whether we talk on the phone or not. She is in my kitchen with recipes that have become my standards and in my book shelves with all the great adventures. She is in my children's faces because I know she loves them.

DeAnn O - is in my idea files, in all the outside-the-box thinking I do. We make her guacamole so regularly that my children think it is comfort food. She is wonder and fireworks.

Darren O - has made me see every riffle of water differently. No one knows the path better to making things appear as if God set them there.

David L - is in every my every hummingbird thought and the authority I go to when some migratory species appears to be off track or out of season. He is the native plantings that God develops so that he doesn't spend all his time garden tending and can pay attention to the most important stuff.

Kathy K - is one of my most trusted sources for book and movie recommendations. If she likes it I make a point to take it in. She is the most real person I know - which I admire because walking around public without any mask can be terrifying.

Pedra B - is in the way I think about quality of life. Because of her I only buy parmasian fresh. I watch for new crops of Braeburn apples. We seek the same things from home.

So so nice. I told Darren he was one of your life-altering friends and his reply was, "huh?"
